Apple will start shipping the Watch Series 3 in select global markets starting tomorrow. In India, Apple will launch the Watch Series 3 on September 29. Apple introduced LTE support on the Watch Series 3, but this model will not be available in India. The Watch Series 3 (GPS) will be available for purchase, and it is priced at Rs 29,900. Starting tomorrow, you can pre-order the Watch on Flipkart.
Flipkart is also offering No Cost EMI option on ordering the Watch Series 3. It also assures delivery on the launch day of September 29 itself in select cities. The Watch Series 3 will be available in three cases of Gold, Silver and Space Grey along with a Sport Band. Currently, the Watch Series 1 is available for Rs 21,900, and the Watch Nike+ edition starts at Rs 29,900.
The Watch Series 3 is powered by a dual-core processor which Apple claims is “really really powerful”. Apple also uses a new W2 chip on the Watch Series 3 for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. On the new Watch Series 3 Apple has upgraded the heart rate sensor as it can now tell if your heart beat falls or is irregular. Your heart rate will also be displayed on the face of the Watch.
The Watch Series 3 also allows you to stream music directly through it. You can stream up to 40 million songs on the new Apple Watch. The Music app is also redesigned with playlists like New Music Mix and Favorites Mix. Apple says that the Watch Series 3 has up to 18 hours of battery life. Apple has also enabled a talking Siri on the Watch 3 Series. It also comes with a new altimeter. In addition to showing the number of steps taken and calories burned, the new Apple Watch will also monitor blood glucose levels.
