Paytm launched its full-fledged chat platform, the Paytm Inbox, on November 3, 2017. This Inbox enables users to chat, exchange texts, videos and audio messages, share photos and location as well as send money.
Currently, this service can be used by Android users and will be available soon for iOS users. (Update : Available for iOS)
Paytm Inbox also allows users to initiate a private or incognito conversation. This functionality is not available in WhatsApp though Messenger, another Facebook messaging app, offers this feature. In addition to this, the Inbox comes with the usual features like notifications, orders and games.
Paytm inbox -User-friendly and Easy to Understand Interface
To use Paytm Inbox, you need to download the updated Paytm app from Google Play Store on your Android smartphone and tap on the Inbox icon visible on the lower-right corner of your screen. The section will display all contacts using Paytm from your smartphone’s contact book. Tap on the New Message icon and select the contacts you wish to chat with. You can also create a new chat group by selecting ‘Create New Group.’
As for sending and requesting money, you need to click on the Send Money or Request Money icon and then enter the amount you want to send or receive. You can also send the money from your Paytm wallet or use several other options like BHIM UPI, credit or debit card as well as net banking. Check your history of transactions by tapping the View Passbook option in the Inbox.
Paytm’s interface is user-friendly and easy to understand. However, the overload of features makes it a little confusing. Also, people who have got accustomed to using WhatsApp may take some time to get used to a new interface.
